The Middle Ages began in Western Europe because that's where the Roman empire fell there, and a man named Charlemagne took it over. There was no rule there and was total chaos so he took it over. He gave land to people. He was the first king, and he was a Frank.

Back then and now on top of the feudalism the highest ranking person is on the top. The lowest ranking people are closer to the bottom. In corporate feudalism the president isn't on the top. Doctors are the same rank as farmers.

Towns provide knights who protect the king. Nobles provide knights who protect the king. King gives charters to towns. Kings give land to nobles.

The lord's castle is looking upon the village. There is a road leading to the village from the castle. That road can have trade routes. The farmers provide food for the village and lord.

This event is the black plague. This pandemic killed more than 20 million people. It began in 1437. Victims where covered in mysterious black boils and were unable.

I would most likely want to live in Warsaw. I would want to live there because the plague didn't reach there. It spread so quickly because rats carried the disease through Europe. The plague is also very contagious.

Her name is Joan of Arch. Her legacy is that an angel told her to help the french. The french won the 100 and the English made a treaty. But Joan was captured and burned because they thought her banner was cursed with witchcraft.

The goal of the Crusades was to win back the holy land from the Muslims. The result of the first crusade was that the crusaders won back Jerusalem. The result of the second is that the Muslims won. The result of the third crusade is that the Muslims won back Jerusalem. The result of the fourth and final crusade is that the crusaders captured Constantinople.

This document is called the Magna Carta. It makes sure that the king doesn't have to much power. King John signed it. The impact it had on the Middle Ages is that the taxes weren't as high.

In about 200 years there have been 12 wars. There have been 4 Edwards. There have been 3 Henrys. And there have been 2 Richards. The wars have raged from 1314 to 1485.

Pope declared him king.
He killed people to become christian.
I think that Charlemagne was a good ruler because he introduced a jury system, he invited scholars from all over the world to a learning center in his kingdom and he conquered most of the western empire.
